For years, the artist has been developing his own personal research on the themes of writing, signs and memory. In the works on display, painting interacts with heterogeneous elements – fragments of paper, unusual supports, layered materials – integrated organically into the paintings and installations. Born in 1948, François Bonjour lives and works in Dino. He is originally from Neuchâtel and lived for many years in Brusino. He studied art in Turin and graduated in decorative arts and interior design from the CSIA in Lugano.

Bonjour.art — A narrative project between matter and vision

François Bonjour's new website stems from a very ambitious intention: to create a space capable of conveying the visual and poetic power of his work in all its evolutionary peculiarities, spanning over 50 years of artistic activity. Not as a simple container, but as a gateway leading to a place that is perhaps atypical, and certainly original, but “alive”, wide-ranging, rich in poetry and art.

Exhibition at The View Lugano

François Bonjour's exhibition at THE VIEW Lugano can be freely visited by hotel guests during the entire period. Until the end of October 2025, it will be possible to closely admire the works on display - including paintings and installations - and to be fascinated by the interweaving of stories, materials and suggestions that the Lugano artist brings.
